The NIDEC MOTORS & ACTUATORS (GERMANY) GmbH was founded in 1923 as Spezial Werkzeugfabrik Feuerbach (SWF). Since then, the company has undergone continuous development, which has established us as a global expert in electrical and mechatronic components for the automotive market today. We are particularly proud of our outstanding range of products: from 10 W microdrives for actuators and pumps to 150 kW electric traction motors, our capabilities satisfy the most demanding customers – at a quality standard others have yet to achieve.

The merger with NIDEC Corporation in 2007 marked a milestone on our intended path towards achieving our high ambitions. This strong footing enables us to act holistically in terms of vehicle technology as a specialist for DC motors – which has made us an ambitious world market leader in the manufacture of electronic motors and actuators.

We consider it our mission to remain curious and, in doing so, we think ahead and work tirelessly on new, innovative vehicle technologies. One such field is the critical blend of powerful drives, optimised software and dependable mechanical systems.
